POINTS OF INTEREST
Public children’s playgrounds
For those of you with kids, you will be glad to find out that there are lots of public parks with attractions for children of all ages. From swings prepared for the younger ones to places for the older ones to climb.
The old zoo of Fuengirola became Bioparc in 1998, embracing a new concept of the park. Here, the animals would live in a more respectful environment, reflecting that of their original habitat, while allowing people to learn more about them. The whole park was rearranged in its layout and aesthetics to the rainforests of Madagascar, Africa or South Asia.
You can visit it during the day at any time of the year and even during the night in summer.
Aquamijas water park
If you are a thrill-seeker, you should not miss Aquamijas. Located in the outskirts of Fuengirola, Aquamijas is a water park full of attractions like slides and wave pools, as well as kids pools and jacuzzi to relax a bit afterward.
During summer, there might be long lines for some of the attractions, so we recommend you don’t forget your sunscreen to avoid sunburns.
